On June 20, 2019, two and half year-old Amelia was diagnosed with Stage 4, High Risk Neuroblastoma Cancer. She immediately started a year of intense treatments fighting for her life.
In June of 2020, as the cancer continued to grow, we were told that Millie would soon be leaving us. During the next few weeks, we focused on spending our time together as a family, making sweet memories, and planning how we would honor our daughter’s life.
On July 8, we walked our baby daughter to the gates of heaven and left with broken hearts.
Millie’s life was short in earthly years, but her impact was huge to those around her. People around the world joined in to cheer her on, pray for her, and mourn with us when she left. She will live on in the hearts of all those who are waiting to see her again and those who await the day they can meet her in heaven. Our family knows there will be a day we will be reunited. We have that assurance and hope because of JESUS. Until then, we will continue to share Millie’s story, God’s story, and our grief journey.

Millie Finds Her Miracle
"Millie Finds Her Miracle" is a children's picture book that leads readers on Millie's journey as she searches everywhere for her miracle of healing. From her playground to the hospital, with people around the world praying, Millie ultimately finds her miracle in heaven.
This book is instrumental to children facing their own death, siblings seeing death, parents walking with their child through death, and the numerous caregivers who assist in the end-of-life process.
Very young children will love finding the butterfly hidden on each page and looking at the bright, simple illustrations.
